
The average alumina spot price in China has recorded a drop of RMB 12 per tonne to close the week on Friday, March 5, at RMB 2,332 per tonne, following a week-long restraint at RMB 2,344 per tonne, found the Shanghai Metals Market.

In Shandong and Guangxi, the alumina spot price has decreased by RMB 25 per tonne and RMB 20 per tonne, respectively, to stand at RMB 2,330 per tonne and RMB 2,340 per tonne, while the price in Henan and Shanxi has dipped by RMB 10 per tonne to RMB 2,330 per tonne. In Guizhou, alumina price is standing at RMB 2,350 per tonne, slipping by RMB 10 per tonne as well.
Australian alumina FOB price has dwindled by US$ 4 per tonne to come in at US$ 296 per tonne on March 5, learned SMM.
A00 aluminium ingot price has declined sharply by RMB 480 per tonne to RMB 17,100 per tonne on Friday, March 5, after growing from RMB 16,900 per tonne to RMB 17,580 per tonne during March 3 & 4, according to SMM. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 17,080 per tonne and RMB 17,120 per tonne, with spot contract to be traded at a premium price of RMB 50-10 per tonne, up by RMB 10 per tonne from the previous day.

In Foshan and Wuxi, A00 aluminium ingot price is hovering around RMB 17,100 per tonne, registering a plunge of RMB 480 per tonne and RMB 470 per tonne, respectively. The price in Hangzhou has also seen a decline of RMB 470 per tonne on March 5 to come in at RMB 17,140 per tonne. In Chongqing, primary aluminium price has the highest decrease of RMB 500 per tonne to RMB 17,070 per tonne, learned SMM.
Aluminium alloy (A356) price has fallen sharply by RMB 500 per tonne to come below RMB 18,000 per tonne on March 5. SMM data shows the price is standing at RMB 17,800 per tonne, with average prices expected to range between RMB 17,750 per tonne and RMB 17,850 per tonne.
Aluminium alloys (ADC12) and aluminium alloy (A380) prices have shrunk by RMB 200 per tonne to peg at RMB 18,050 per tonne and RMB 19,050 per tonne, respectively.
