
The average alumina spot price in China has recorded growth for the third consecutive day to stand at RMB 2,398 per tonne on Tuesday, January 26, according to Shanghai Metals Market. In Guizhou and Guangxi, alumina price is hovering around RMB 2,360 per tonne, registering a hike of RMB 10 per tonne from the previous day. In Shandong and Henan, the price has come in at RMB 2,405 per tonne, increasing by RMB 10 per tonne and RMB 5 per tonne, respectively.

Imported alumina price and Australian alumina FOB price have, however, decided to remain muted at RMB 2,500 per tonne and US$ 306 per tonne, respectively.
A00 aluminium ingot price, on the other hand, has decreased by RMB 70 per tonne to stand below RMB 15,000 per tonne. SMM data shows the price has come in at RMB 14,960 per tonne, with average prices expected to range between RMB 14,940 per tonne and RMB 14,980 per tonne. The spot contract is likely to be traded at a premium price of RMB60-100 per tonne.

Wuxi has seen the highest plunge in A00 aluminium ingot price by about RMB 135 per tonne to stand at RMB 14,900 per tonne, followed by the decrease of RMB 100 per tonne in Foshan to hover around RMB 14,880 per tonne. In Hangzhou, primary aluminium ingot price has decreased by RMB 90 per tonne to stand at RMB 14,965 per tonne, while the price in Gongyi and Shenyang has declined by RMB 80 per tonne to peg at RMB 14,860 per tonne and RMB 15,005 per tonne, respectively.
Backed on the decline in A00 aluminium ingot price, aluminium alloy (A356) price has dropped by RMB 50 per tonne to stand at RMB 15,650 per tonne. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 15,600 per tonne and RMB 15,700 per tonne.
However, the prices of aluminium alloys (ADC12) and aluminium alloy (A380) have remained restrained at RMB 16,750 per tonne and RMB 17,650 per tonne, respectively.
