Al Andalus grows portfolio with latest additions

Al Andalus Holding Company continues to steer ahead with a well-devised growth plan that includes adding the latest and best technologies to its portfolio, which has ensured its success in the building and construction industry. The Saudi-based company is now planning to set up one more extrusion press along with a powder coating and anodizing unit featuring the latest technology to supply a diverse range of profiles in various colours to meet market requirements.

Established more than 35 years ago, the well-diversified company set up an aluminium extrusion plant in Dammam two years ago, which produces a variety of aluminium profiles. The proposed expansion will increase the production capacity of this extrusion plant.

In terms of its trading activities, the Riyadh-based company has been supplying the Saudi market, particularly aluminium fabricators, with a diverse range of quality but affordable products acquired from leading global brands as well as its affiliates backed by a host of member companies.

Deputy general manager Marwan Albrahim says the company maintains a competitive edge in the market by joining hands with international companies to introduce new products to the region. Among the latest agencies acquired by Al Andalus is Geze, a famous brand in door technology.

The company also holds the exclusive dealership for products by Fapim, a leader in Italian-made door and window accessories.Among the latest high-quality and affordable Fapim aluminium fittings products launched by Al Andalus on the market is the Syncro system, which boasts features such as ease of use, fast assembly and cost-effectiveness.

"This system is aimed at reducing and simplifying the machining carried out on profiles when manufacturing doors and windows, by offering increased tolerances to avoid mistakes while considerably reducing production cost, thus enabling fabricators to be competitive. This is an excellent step forward in our strategy to provide quality services and the best options for our customers," says Albrahim.

In line with its growth strategy, the company also recently took on the distributorship the US' 3M industrial products.

Others famous brands distributed by Al Andalus include Phifer (US) for aluminium and fibreglass insect screening; Heroal (Germany) and Luxe Perfil (Spain) for roller shutters; Somfy (France) for shutter motors and accessories; Simbac (Italy) for shutter accessories; Kress (Germany) for drilling machines; Alcotop (Korea) for cladding panels; KBB for automatic doors; and Wacker (Germany) for general-purpose silicone.

Albrahim says the company has played a key role on many projects over the years, initially as a supplier and then as a manufacturer of doors and windows. Today, it meets all requirements of aluminium plants including machinery, equipment and raw materials from leading agencies worldwide, he adds.
