
A00 aluminium ingot price in China has jumped by RMB 260 per tonne to open the week on Monday, August 23, at RMB 20,360 per tonne, found the Shanghai Metals Market. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 20,340 per tonne and RMB 20,380 per tonne, with spot contract to be traded at a premium price of RMB 30-70 per tonne.

In Hangzhou, the price has increased the highest by RMB 350 per tonne to come in at RMB 20,480 per tonne, followed by a surge of RMB 340 per tonne in Wuxi to RMB 20,455 per tonne. In Shenyang and Chongqing, primary aluminium ingot price has climbed RMB 310 per tonne and RMB 275 per tonne to stand at RMB 20,395 per tonne and RMB 20,415 per tonne, while the price in Tianjin, Gongyi has increased by RMB 250 per tonne and RMB 240 per tonne to settle at RMB 20,370 per tonne and RMB 20,240 per tonne. In Linyi and Foshan, A00 aluminium ingot price has grown by RMB 230 per tonne and RMB 220 per tonne to close at RMB 20,370 per tonne and RMB 20,500 per tonne, respectively.
Among input costs, Australian alumina FOB price has increased by US$ 5 per tonne to stand at US$ 305 per tonne. Domestic alumina spot price has, however, remained restrained at RMB 2,667 per tonne, as of August 23.

Aluminium powder price has inched up by RMB 0.30 per kg to come in at RMB 23.95 per kg. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 23.90-24 per kg.
Aluminium alloys prices have also grown over the weekend, found SMM. While aluminium alloy (A356) price has surged by RMB 300 per tonne to stand at RMB 20,950 per tonne, aluminium alloys (ADC12) price and aluminium alloy (A380) price have increased by RMB 200 per tonne to come in at RMB 19,850 per tonne and RMB 21,050 per tonne, respectively.
