Three-month LME aluminium closed higher at US$2,555/t last Friday; SHFE aluminium added 0.73%
Three-month LME aluminium opened at US$2,544.5 per tonne last Friday morning. The price settled at US$2,555 per tonne, an increase of US$8 per tonne or 0.31%.
As of Friday, August 20, LME aluminium cash (bid) price stands at US$ 2569 per tonne, LME official settlement price stands at US$ 2569 per tonne; 3-months bid price stands at US$ 2552 per tonne, 3-months offer price is US$ 2552 per tonne; Dec 22 bid price stands at US$ 2523 per tonne, and Dec 22 offer price stands at US$ 2523 per tonne.
The LME aluminium opening stock stood at 1304950 tonnes. Live Warrants totalled 845125 tonnes and Cancelled Warrants were 459825 tonnes.
LME aluminium 3-months Asian Reference Price is hovering at US$ 2566.41per tonne.
SHFE Aluminium Price Trend
Benchmark aluminium price for SHFE increased to stand at US$ 3120 per tonne on Monday, 23 August, 2021.
The most-traded SHFE 2110 aluminium closed up 0.73% to RMB20110 per tonne on Friday, and long open interest up 5635 lots to 232000 lots. The contract opened at RMB 20,035 per tonne during last Friday’s night session. The contract is expected to move between RMB 19,900-20,200 per tonne on Monday.
