
The A00 aluminium ingot price in China has recorded a hike for the third straight day on Wednesday, June 17, found Shanghai Metals Market. Following the growth of RMB 150 per tonne on June 16, the A00 aluminium ingot price today has climbed by RMB 110 per tonne to stand at RMB 14,080 per tonne. With this, the price of aluminium ingot has crossed the 14K level since early February of this year. The average prices today are expected to range between RMB 14,060 per tonne and RMB 14,100 per tonne, with spot contract to be traded at a premium price of RMB 180-220 per tonne.

Foshan, among all the major Chinese markets, has seen the highest growth today in A00 aluminium ingot price by RMB 140 per tonne to peg at RMB 14,160 per tonne. Wuxi and Chongqing have witnessed an increase of RMB 120 per tonne to RMB 14,090 per tonne and RMB 14,030 per tonne. In Hangzhou, Shenyang, Tianjin, and Gongyi, the ingot price has grown by RMB 110 per tonne to respectively stand at RMB 14,090 per tonne, RMB 14,025 per tonne, RMB 14,030 per tonne and RMB 13,990 per tonne. In Linyi, the price has increased by RMB 100 per tonne to come in at RMB 14,020 per tonne.
The aluminium alloy (A356) price has increased as well by RMB 100 per tonne to hover at RMB 14,750 per tonne. However, the prices of aluminium alloys (ADC12) and aluminium alloy (A380) have remained restrained at RMB 13,950 per tonne and RMB 14,850 per tonne, respectively.
Coming to the input costs, neither bauxite nor alumina or prebaked anode has registered any changes in their respective prices. While the bauxite price has continued to stand at RMB 540 per tonne, the prices of alumina and prebaked anode have remained restrained at RMB 2,259 per tonne and RMB 2,670 per tonne, respectively.
