A00 aluminium ingot price grows by RMB40/t; Aluminium alloy (A356) price increases RMB50/t

Followed by a drop on August 21 from 14,380 per tonne to RMB 14,320 per tonne, the A00 aluminium ingot price has recorded a rise today, August 22, by RMB 40 per tonne to stand at RMB 14,360 per tonne, found Shanghai Metals Market. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 14,340 per tonne and RMB 14,380 per tonne, with spot contract to be traded at a discount price of RMB 10 per tonne to a premium price of RMB 30 per tonne.

In Wuxi, Chongqing, Shenyang, and Gongyi, the ingot prices have grown by RMB 40 per tonne as well to RMB 14,370 per tonne, RMB 14,380 per tonne, RMB 14,260 per tonne, and RMB 14,240 per tonne, respectively. While the A00 aluminium ingot price rise has touched upon all the major Chinese markets today, the prices in Hangzhou, Foshan, and Tianjin have increased by RMB 35 per tonne and RMB 30 per tonne to stand at RMB 14,385 per tonne, RMB 14,360 per tonne, and RMB 14,330 per tonne, respectively.

Backed on the bullish trend of A00 aluminium ingot price, the price of aluminium alloy (A356) has registered a growth of RMB 50 per tonne to stand at RMB 15,000 per tonne.

As far as the input costs are concerned, none among the prebaked anode, bauxite, alumina, aluminium fluoride, and aluminium powder has recorded changes in respective prices. The price of the prebaked anode is hovering at RMB 3,112 per tonne, as of August 22, while that of bauxite at RMB 560 per tonne, alumina at RMB 2,463 per tonne, and aluminium fluoride and aluminium powder at RMB 10,050 per tonne and RMB 17.90 per kg.
