Westons launches cider brands in aluminium cans for the Australian market

<p>Two new cider brands in aluminium cans are recently launched in the Australian market in line with a trend towards more craft and artisanal products. Manufactured by Westons, the new brands in the market are Stowford Press Medium Sweet and Caple Road No3.</p> <p><img style="vertical-align: middle; display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;" src="http://www.alcircle.com/uploads/images/Can.jpg" alt="News" width="420" height="420" /><br /><br />Cider Australia forecasts the Australian cider market to grow to a retail value of $2.6 billion by 2020 which is much higher than any other alcohol category. The growth was mostly driven by growing consumer interest in authentic apple and pear cider and more and more Australian consumers are buying premium, craft and artisanal products. Domestic Australian cider producers are making lots of innovations and developing new production techniques.<br /><br />As said by Ian Cameron, the Head of Marketing and Sales at Westons World Brands, Caple Road and Stowford Press both are custom made to suit Australian consumers&rsquo; likings for crafted ciders. He said that it&rsquo;s a tough job to put cider into aluminium cans because of its highly corrosive. This is for the first time that fresh juice based ciders are launched in aluminium cans.</p> <p>&ldquo;Stowford Press Medium Sweet was developed specifically for the Australian market by our Head Cider Maker Guy Lawrence.
