Maan Aluminium reported sales of INR 163.27 crore in the March quarter of 2021, up 65.74% from INR 98.51 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2020. Hindalco Industries Limited has further expanded its aluminium products price. With effect from Wednesday, 02 June 2021, aluminium billets price has jumped by INR 6,000 per tonne or 2.88% to stand at INR 214,100 per tonne. The company had reported billets price of INR 208,100 per tonne on May 28.

The United Arab Emirates exports of crude metals and alloys to the US stood at 31,200 tonnes in March 2021 an increase of 52.94% year-on-year. A unit of China Haida, CHD Engineering and Trading, has teamed with K-United Builder (KUB) to supply and install aluminium products for projects in Singapore and Malaysia. The first project is for a commercial building in Johor, Malaysia, worth S$1.68 million, that requires aluminium cladding and roof work. The project will start on August 2, 2021, and expectedly complete on December 1, 2022.
Aluminium billet inventories in China have inched up by 1,100 tonnes or 1.2 per cent week-on-week across the five major consumption areas, following the three consecutive weeks of decline. The inventories are thus standing at 89,400 tonnes as of June 3, according to the Shanghai Metals Market. The slight rise in aluminium billet inventories could be attributed to the weaker performance of aluminium prices this week that led to the unwillingness of the downstream sector for receiving goods.
