Vedanta raises its aluminium ingots price by INR 3,500/t

Vedanta has increased its aluminium products price by more than 1%. With effect from Saturday, August 7 2021, the prices of some aluminium ingots have stood at INR 226,000-239,000 per tonne, an increase of INR 3,500 per tonne from INR 222,500-235,500- per tonne on August 5.

The billets price stands at INR 234,000 per tonne on Saturday, August 7 2021, standing higher by 1.52% or INR 3,500 per tonne from INR 230,500 per tonne on August 5.
The Indian aluminium producers generally link prices of its products to the three-month futures of aluminium on London Metal Exchange. The aluminium price stood at US$ 2618.5 per tonne on August 6, from US$ 2583.5 per tonne on August 5.
Vedanta’s aluminium business typically accounts for one-third of the company’s consolidated sales. Vedanta has a stake in Bharat Aluminium Co Ltd and smelters at Jharsuguda in Odisha. It commands a 40% share in India's primary aluminium market.
