Vedanta has further expanded its aluminium products price by nearly 1%. With effect from Thursday, 10 June 2021, the prices of some aluminium ingots have climbed by INR 2,000 per tonne to stand at INR 207,000-220,000 per tonne, from INR 205,000-218,000- per tonne on June 9.
The billets price stands at INR 215,000 per tonne on Thursday, 10 June 2021. This marked a hike of INR 2,000 per tonne or 0.94% from INR 213,000 per tonne on June 9.
The Indian aluminium producers generally link prices of its products to the three-month futures of aluminium on London Metal Exchange. The aluminium price on stood at US$ 2459 per tonne on Wednesday, June 9, up US$ 20 per tonne from US$ 2439 per tonne on June 8.
Vedanta’s aluminium business typically accounts for one-third of the company’s consolidated sales. Vedanta has a stake in Bharat Aluminium Co Ltd and smelters at Jharsuguda in Odisha. It commands a 40% share in India's primary aluminium market.
