Three-month LME aluminium up by 0.45% to US$2,369/t on Friday; SHFE aluminium edged higher by 0.99%
Three-month LME aluminium settled 0.45% higher at US$2,369 per tonne last Friday. The increase in price was due to lower LME aluminium stocks, improved overseas economic and weak US dollar. SMM expects the contract to move between US$2,350-2,390 per tonne today.
As of Friday, April 23, LME aluminium cash (bid) price stands at US$ 2373.50 per tonne, LME official settlement price stands at US$ 2373.50 per tonne; 3-months bid price stands at US$ 2378.50 per tonne, 3-months offer price is US$ 2378.50 per tonne; Dec 22 bid price stands at US$ 2379 per tonne, and Dec 22 offer price stands at US$ 2379 per tonne.
The LME aluminium opening stock stood at 1796925 tonnes. Live Warrants totalled 1238750 tonnes, and Cancelled Warrants were 558175 tonnes.
LME aluminium 3-months Asian Reference Price is hovering at US$ 2380.57per tonne.
SHFE Aluminium Price Trend
Benchmark aluminium price for SHFE increased to stand at US$ 2830 per tonne on Monday, 26 April 2021.
The most-liquid SHFE 2106 aluminium contract finished the day 0.99% higher at RMB18,355 per tonne on Friday. The most-active SHFE 06 aluminium contract closed at 18,300 last Friday night. SHFE aluminium is likely to fluctuate between RMB18,200-18,400 per tonne today.
