Three-month LME aluminium rose to close at US$2,061.5/t; SHFE aluminium climbed 1.21%

Three-month LME aluminium advanced 1.7% to close at US$2,061.5 per tonne on Tuesday, with open interest adding 4,006 lots to 725,000 lots.

As of Tuesday, February 9, LME aluminium cash (bid) price stands at US$ 2045.50 per tonne, LME official settlement price stands at US$ 2045.50 per tonne; 3-months bid price stands at US$ 2052 per tonne, 3-months offer price is US$ 2052 per tonne; Dec 21 bid price stands at US$ 2115 per tonne, and Dec 21 offer price stands at US$ 2115 per tonne.

The LME aluminium opening stock stood at 1395275 tonnes. Live Warrants totalled 1170850 tonnes, and Cancelled Warrants were 224425 tonnes.

LME aluminium 3-months Asian Reference Price is hovering at US$ 2040.68 per tonne.

SHFE Aluminium Price Trend

Benchmark aluminium price for SHFE increased to stand at US$ 2461 per tonne on Wednesday, 10 February 2021.

The most-liquid SHFE 2103 aluminium contract finished the day 1.21% higher at RMB15,865 per tonne on Tuesday. Open interest fell 12,830 lots to 158,397 lots. The contract settled 0.5% lower at 15,785 in overnight trading. It is expected to move between 15,400-15,900 per tonne today.
