Three-month LME aluminium closed higher at US$2,613/t; SHFE aluminium up slightly
Three-month LME aluminium inched up 0.6% to close at US$2,613 per tonne on Monday, 02 August 2021. As of Monday August 2, LME aluminium cash (bid) price stands at US$ 2635 per tonne, LME official settlement price stands at US$ 2635 per tonne; 3-months bid price stands at US$ 2628.50 per tonne, 3-months offer price is US$ 2628.50 per tonne; Dec 22 bid price stands at US$ 2586 per tonne, and Dec 22 offer price stands at US$ 2586 per tonne.
The LME aluminium opening stock stood at 1378575 tonnes. Live Warrants totalled 831825 tonnes and Cancelled Warrants were 546750 tonnes.
LME aluminium 3-months Asian Reference Price is hovering at US$ 2610.62 per tonne.
SHFE Aluminium Price Trend
Benchmark aluminium price for SHFE decreased to stand at US$ 3068 per tonne on Tuesday, 03 August, 2021.
The most-traded SHFE 2109 aluminium closed up RMB 50 per tonne to RMB19955 per tonne. The most-active SHFE 2109 aluminium contract decreased 0.30% to end at RMB19,900 per tonne last night. SMM expects the contract to trade between RMB19,600-20,100 per tonne today.
