
Italy has a diversified industrial economy, which is divided into a developed industrial north, dominated by private companies, and a less-developed, highly subsidized, agricultural south, where unemployment is high. The Italian export of Aluminium scrap during 2017-19 has shown notable growth, as the total export volume stood at 301,268 tonnes and the revenue generation exhibited $313.76 million. The export for 2020 has been analysed for 131,482 tonnes and the income to rise at $143.51 million. When the projected export volume and income of 2020 get added with the preceding three years it reflects 432,750 tonnes and $457.27 million.
The country’s aluminium scrap export in 2017 was recorded at 58,975 tonnes and revenue generation stood at $54.43 million, whereas in 2018 the export saw a rise by 93.67%, as the export volume stood at 114,218 tonnes and revenue earning climbed to $123.37 million.
In 2019 Italy’s export also displayed growth by 12.13%, as the export volume remained at 128,075 tonnes and the revenue earnings recorded was $135.96. The estimated export for 2020 has been analysed with up-turn by 2.66%, as the export volume is expected to reach 131,482 tonnes and earning to stretch at $143.51 million.
The major importing nation for Italy’s export of aluminium scraps is Albania, Bangladesh, Austria, Czech Rep., Belgium, China, Egypt, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Morocco, etc.
