
South Korea's imports of aluminium scrap from the US stood at 24,100 tonnes in February, with a year-on-year decrease of 2%. South Korea had imported 24,600 tonnes in April 2019. On a monthly basis, imports reduced by 12.36% from 27,500 tonnes in March 2020, as updated by the US Census Bureau.

In the first four months of 2020, South Korea imported 97,600 tonnes of aluminium scrap, from 93,400 tonnes imported in the first four months of 2019. This marked an increase of 4200 tonnes year-on-year.
South Korea's imports of total aluminium (semi-finished products, crude metals and alloy and scrap) from the US stood at 26,400 tonnes in April 2020, a decrease of 3.3% from 27,300 tonnes in April 2019. Imports declined by 10.8% from March’s imports of 29,600 tonnes.
In January-April, total imports came in at 107,000 tonnes, an increase of 1.9% from 105,000 tonnes imported in January-April 2019.
