South China Aluminum: Selling Interest Low with Spot Price below RMB 18,000

Most active SHFE aluminum contract prices fell below the 60-day moving average on August 16th, dragging down spot aluminum prices in south China to below RMB 18,000/mt. Mainstream trading prices in the area were between RMB 17,930-17,950/mt. Overall market transactions were rare due to low selling and buying interest.
