Koemmerling has launched its Allure S46 aluminium minimal sliding door system in India, designed to give modern homes and commercial spaces larger glass openings, slimmer sightlines and a cleaner connection between indoor and outdoor areas.

What if your sliding door could give you more glass and less visible framing?

That is the idea behind Koemmerling's new Allure S46 aluminium sliding door system, which has been introduced in India alongside the company's new experience centre in CBD Belapur, Navi Mumbai.

The system is designed for contemporary residential and commercial projects where large glazed openings, minimalist designs and seamless indoor-outdoor transitions are increasingly important.

More glass, slimmer sightlines

The Allure S46 is a non-thermal aluminium minimal sliding door system developed specifically for the Indian market.

One of its key design features is the use of concealed frame profiles within walls, floors and ceilings. By keeping much of the framing out of sight, the system creates a cleaner appearance around the glass and reduces the visual interruption between indoor and outdoor spaces.

It also features a 20 mm interlock sightline, helping keep the meeting point between the sliding panels slim while maximising the amount of visible glass.

For the end user, that means a simpler visual experience: larger views, more openness and less aluminium framing competing for attention.

Designed for larger openings

The Allure S46 can accommodate panels measuring up to 2 metres by 3 metres, giving architects and developers more flexibility when designing large glazed openings.

The system supports 28 mm to 34 mm glazing thicknesses and is engineered to withstand wind pressures of up to 3 kPa.

It will be available in both two-track and three-track configurations, allowing the sliding doors to be adapted to different architectural layouts.

Rather than simply being a way to open and close a room, the system is designed to make the door itself part of the architecture, particularly in spaces where natural light, views and a connection to outdoor areas are priorities.

Koemmerling expands its presence in Navi Mumbai

The Allure S46 launch coincides with the opening of Koemmerling's new experience centre at Shelton Sapphire in Sector 15, CBD Belapur, Navi Mumbai.

The facility has been established to allow architects, developers, channel partners and homeowners to explore the company's range of uPVC and aluminium window and door systems in person.

The opening was attended by architects, developers, industry partners and members of India's fenestration sector, alongside senior officials from profine Group and profine India.

For customers, the centre offers an opportunity to see the systems and their design possibilities before specifying them for a project.

Aluminium takes a minimalist approach

The launch also highlights the role aluminium can play in modern fenestration, particularly where designers want to combine large glass panels with slim, visually unobtrusive frames.

Dr Peter Mrosik, owner and chief executive officer of profine Group, said India remains one of the company's key international growth markets, with continued investment in manufacturing infrastructure and research and development aimed at developing fenestration solutions suited to the country's changing architectural requirements.

Farid Khan, chairman and managing director of profine India, said the Navi Mumbai centre represents an important step in the company's expansion across the Mumbai region, while Kamal Bajaj, chief executive officer of profine India, said the facility would strengthen engagement with customers in western India.

With the Allure S46, Koemmerling is essentially putting the aluminium profile in the background and the view in the foreground, a combination aimed at modern residential and commercial projects looking for larger openings without giving up a minimalist aesthetic.
