It appears the 480 jobs at Century Aluminum's Sebree Smelter will not be going anywhere in the near future.
Century, Big Rivers and Kenergy have reached a new power agreement for the plant. The deal is similar to the agreement the companies have concerning Century's Hawesville plant.
Under that agreement, Kenergy will still provide power to Century, but Century will be allowed to purchase power using open market prices.
Century had said it could not continue operating the plant under the old price structure.
