RUSAL achieved bauxite production of 4.24 million tonnes in the second quarter of 2019. That was up 10.7 per cent quarter-on-quarter, primarily as a result of seasonal accumulation of inventories on North Urals and Timan mines.

Bauxite production stood at 8 million tonnes in the first half of 2019, an increase of 28.6 per cent year-on-year.

Bauxite production at Friguia, Kindia and Dian-Dian stood at 284,000 tonnes, 885,000 tonnes and 678,000 tonnes respectively in the second quarter. North Urals and Timan produced 601,000 tonnes and 926,000 tonnes of bauxite.
