ROLEC has launched a new line of diecast aluminium enclosures aimed at protecting in-cab control systems used in sectors such as agriculture, construction and heavy engineering.
{alcircleadd}The new profiCASE range is designed for human-machine interface systems, commonly known as HMIs, which are increasingly used for touchscreen controls and electronic operations inside off-highway vehicles.
Although these systems are installed inside enclosed cabins, the company said they still need protection against dust, moisture and vibration because of the harsh environments in which the vehicles operate.

The enclosures come with IP65, IP66 and IP67 protection ratings and are built to house screens, keypads and touch displays up to 10 inches in size.
ROLEC mentioned that the units can either be mounted directly or attached using VESA mounting supports while maintaining sealed protection. Adjustable handle strips have also been added to help operators change viewing angles more comfortably inside vehicle cabins.
Access to the electronics is provided through a hinged lid that opens to around 95 degrees and is secured with locking screws. The hinge itself is hidden from the front side to reduce the risk of accidental removal or tampering.

The enclosures are made from recycled aluminium and are available in different size options and standard colour finishes, including light grey and anthracite.
ROLEC said additional customization services are available as well, including machining, coating, EMC shielding and assembly work depending on application requirements.
The company is positioning the profiCASE series for industrial environments where electronic control systems need extra durability and environmental protection.
