Among the materials introduced are LNP ELCRIN SLX compounds made using post-consumer recycled content. SABIC also presented the LNP KONDUIT WTF2C compound designed for thermal management in ADAS applications.

These materials are part of SABIC’s wider portfolio aimed at enhancing performance, supporting circularity, and enabling design flexibility.

Two new LNP ELCRIN SLX grades — SLX2373RCC and SLX2375RCC — incorporate 30 per cent and 45 per cent post-consumer recycled (PCR) content, respectively.

The LNP ELCRIN SLX compounds offer durability, resistance to weathering, and a high-gloss finish for exterior automotive parts. They also eliminate the need for painting, helping to reduce emissions and support recyclability. Applications demonstrated include a shark fin antenna and a heated ADAS radome.

SABIC also highlighted the LNP KONDUIT WTF2C compound. This thermally conductive material can replace die-cast aluminum in radar and electronic control unit housings. It helps reduce weight, lower costs, and decrease paint related emissions while remaining compatible with standard manufacturing processes.

SABIC also presented EXTEM RH1017UCL resin for optical sensor applications.

These include driver monitoring systems, gesture recognition, and high-speed connectivity in vehicle architectures.

In automotive lighting, SABIC showcased materials for advanced lighting applications.

For EV applications, SABIC featured a battery energy absorber made from NORYL GTX resin. This structure is designed for side-impact protection. It also supports performance across a wide temperature range and simplifies manufacturing.

Through these developments, SABIC aims to support advancements in automotive technology with materials focused on performance, sustainability, and design efficiency.
