The recycled segment is witnessing some of the best events in the last few weeks, and this week also it remained the same. In Luxemburg, Hydro generated 130 tonnes of CIRCAL 100R at its Clervaux recycling factory, with 100 per cent post-consumer scrap achieving its goal of first net-zero carbon aluminium production. The 9th MRAI’s IMRC conference discusses India’s chances of becoming a green superpower by 2030 focusing on the recycling process of scrap material and industrial waste. Europlasma, a global provider of nano-coating technology, announced the success of its plasma torch treatment units to rectify aluminium waste.

Hydro produces 130 tonnes of CIRCAL 100R at its Clervaux, Luxembourg recycling factory, achieving its target of producing the first net-zero carbon aluminium. The 130 tonnes of CIRCAL 100R are made using 100% post-consumer scrap.
The Ministry of Transport issued a document in mid-April saying trucks with all the proper documents should be permitted to pass, and drivers in Linyi had received orders from the ministry. However, when aluminium prices dropped, downstream consumption of aluminium alloy did not increase considerably, having a big influence on recycler’s trade and a large decline in trading volume.

According to the Shanghai metals Market, China’s average operating rate of secondary aluminium recorded a drop of 12.3% points month-on-month to close at 33.1% in April. The resurgence of the COVID pandemic was the main reason behind the downfall. The situation deteriorated since March, hitting Shanghai, Jiangsu, and Jilin the hardest, leading to production cuts at several local manufacturers. Some large ones had to even halve their production.
As part of the company's role as a pollution control solution provider, Europlasma announces positive results of new tests in preparation for the marketing of ultimate plasma torch treatment units for aluminium waste. Following the optimization of its treatment process, Europlasma has carried out a series of tests in partnership with Hangzhou Dianzi University.
