
Vedanta Aluminium, the largest aluminium producer in India, has upheld its CSR initiative to assist the educational quality in Odisha through its initiative, Project Vidya. The organisation has distributed reference books to the students of classes 9 and 10 across government schools in the Lakhanpur block. Through this flagship initiative, Vedanta Aluminium has supported more than 600 students by distributing academic resources and books.

Vedanta Aluminium continues to promote its various social initiatives like healthcare, education, rural infrastructure, sports, culture and sustainable livelihoods. As a part of its social initiatives, the Project Vidya aims to provide conceptual knowledge and problem-solving skills to the students for their upcoming board examinations. This would be helpful for the holistic vision of Vedanta in empowering societies through education and skills development.
Rajendra Prasad Sahu, Block Education Officer, Lakhanpur, stated, “Vedanta Aluminium’s initiative under Project Vidya will significantly enable rural students to excel academically. These reference books will be instrumental in improving students’ preparedness for board exams and boosting their academic confidence.”
