SMM aluminium ingot price in China gains RMB50/t to RMB18,640/t; Low carbon aluminium price hikes to RMB19,298/t
On Thursday, August 17, China’s A00 aluminium ingot price has gained RMB 50 per tonne to halt at RMB 18,640 per tonne, with the average prices ranging between RMB 18,620 per tonne and RMB 18,660 per tonne. The spot contract price is expected to be traded at a premium price of RMB 130 to RMB 170 per tonne.
As per the data shared by the Shanghai Metals Market (SMM), the prices in Gongyi and Linyi have grown by RMB 40 per tonne to settle at RMB 18,600 per tonne and RMB 18,680 per tonne. On the same day, the prices in Chongqing and Shenyang ascended by RMB 30 per tonne and RMB 20 per tonne to settle at RMB 18,610 per tonne and RMB 18,590 per tonne. In Foshan, the A00 aluminium ingot price has gone up by RMB 10 to score at RMB 18,570 per tonne. On the other hand, the prices in Wuxi and Hangzhou have remained restrained at RMB 18,660 per tonne and RMB 18,640 per tonne. Only in Tianjin the price has dipped by RMB 5 per tonne, scoring at RMB 18,640 per tonne.
The domestic price of low-carbon aluminium has added RMB 9 per tonne to rest at RMB 19,298 per tonne. On the same day, the price of aluminium alloy (A356) has increased by RMB 50 per tonne to peg at RMB 19,250 per tonne. The average prices may be between RMB 19,100 per tonne and RMB 19,400 per tonne.
