China’s A00 aluminium ingot price registers Y-o-Y hike of RMB470/t; Low-carbon aluminium price surge by RMB114/t

On Tuesday, August 15, the A00 aluminium ingot price in China gained RMB 90 per tonne to settle at RMB 18,470 per tonne, with the average prices between RMB 18,450 per tonne and RMB 18,490 per tonne. The spot contract price is expected to be traded at a premium price of RMB 0 to RMB 40 per tonne.

On the other hand, as per the data uploaded by the Shanghai Metals Market (SMM), a hike of RMB 240 per tonne was recorded Y-o-Y from RMB 18,230 per tonne on August 15th 2022. The prices as of today have grown in all the provinces, with the highest in Foshan of RMB 130 per tonne to peg at RMB 18,470 per tonne. On the same day, the prices in Gongyi and Chongqing have gained RMB 110 per tonne to reside at RMB 18,450 per tonne and RMB 18,470 per tonne. In Wuxi, Hangzhou and Tianjin, the domestic aluminium ingot price has hiked by RMB 100 per tonne to clock at RMB 18,480 per tonne and RMB 18,510 per tonne. The A00 aluminium ingot prices in Shenyang and Linyi have gone up by RMB 80 per tonne to stop at RMB 18,420 per tonne and RMB 18,520 per tonne.

The domestic price of low-carbon aluminium has surged by RMB 114 per tonne to reach RMB 19,181 per tonne. The high-purity aluminium (99.99%) price and high-purity aluminium (99.996%) have ascended by RMB 100 per tonne to peg at RMB 26,000 per tonne and RMB 27,000 per tonne.

The price of aluminium powder has moved up by RMB 0.1 per kg to come in at RMB 20.4 per kg, with the average prices standing between RMB 20.3 per kg and RMB 20.5 per kg.
