Plans announced for scrap-metal recycling plant at Riverton

A scrap-metal recycling plant at Riverton expects to process more than 13 million pounds of copper and aluminum annually and to have a work force of 25 once the plant reaches capacity in a couple of years.
SIC Recycling Inc. will sell into an industry that claimed nearly $40 billion in revenues and 138,000 jobs in 2010.
The project is estimated to cost $5 million, including construction, equipment and the land purchase.
