North American aluminum orders jumped 7.6 percent in September compared with August, indicating a brightening in aluminum manufacturers’ views on the American economy, according to Davenport & Co. LLC research based on Aluminum Association data. "The rise in orders reflects a more positive outlook for the U.S. economy by aluminum manufacturers," Davenport said
