Neveah Limited has officially commenced operations at its advanced aluminium and copper recycling facility in Ogun State. During its inaugural production run, the plant successfully delivered its first batch of aluminium ingots achieving a notable purity level of 85.1 per cent, a strong reflection of the high-quality standards Neveah aims to maintain as it scales up operations.
Neveah Limited’s recycling facility in Ogun State is set to produce ADC 12-grade aluminium ingots for both domestic and international markets. Sourced from recycled aluminium scrap such as used car engine parts and beverage cans the ingots will be exported to destinations across Asia and beyond, supporting a global circular economy.
Equipped with state-of-the-art technology, the facility ensures each ingot complies with and exceeds international quality benchmarks. This positions Neveah to serve export-driven markets with confidence, underscoring its commitment to delivering premium, globally competitive recycled metal products.
“This milestone is more than just production, it’s a glimpse into our future. We are not just recycling; we are redefining how Africa contributes to the global circular economy,” said Mr. Ibidapo Lawal, CEO of Neveah Limited.
As Neveah prepares to ramp up to full-scale operations, this milestone marks a key step forward in a series of achievements. The company’s multi-billion Naira investment recycling facility is engineered to process over 44,000 metric tonnes of aluminium and copper each year, with the potential to generate more than $150 million in export revenue.
Beyond its economic impact, the plant is expected to create approximately 500 direct jobs and over 6,000 indirect jobs while reducing carbon emissions by more than 377,000 tonnes annually. These far-reaching economic and environmental benefits reflect Neveah’s broader commitment to driving sustainable growth and contributing meaningfully to Nigeria’s national development agenda.
Neveah Limited clinched the top spot in the Metals & Mining category and ranked 21st overall on the Financial Times’ 2025 list of Africa’s Fastest-Growing Companies. These prestigious recognitions highlight the company’s global relevance and exceptional performance in a fiercely competitive industry, underscoring its resilience, strategic foresight, and operational excellence.
With full-scale production set to begin shortly, Neveah is well-positioned to turn scrap into high-quality metals, strengthen Nigeria’s export capabilities, and champion a circular economy that delivers value both locally and internationally.
