Doss brings decades of sector experience to the role. He most recently led Graphic Packaging Holding Company, where he served as president, chief executive, and director from 2016 until 2025.

During his tenure, the fibre-based consumer packaging group pursued expansion initiatives and strengthened its market position through a series of strategic moves. Before stepping into the chief executive’s post, Doss had spent more than twenty years in senior commercial, operational and general management roles within the same organisation, shaping its manufacturing footprint and business strategy across multiple regions.

Over the course of his career, he has developed expertise spanning large-scale manufacturing, international operations, board governance and commercial leadership in the global packaging arena. In addition to his new responsibilities, he also sits on the board of Regal Rexnord Corporation, a producer of electric motors and power transmission technologies.

Commenting on the development, Timothy Donahue, chairman and chief executive of Crown, said the board would benefit from Doss’s extensive industry knowledge. He added that Doss’s background in packaging leadership, manufacturing capability and international business management would reinforce the company’s strategic oversight and governance framework as it continues to advance its worldwide operations.

Crown Holdings ranks among the largest suppliers of rigid metal packaging globally, manufacturing products such as beverage and food cans, aerosol containers, and closures for consumer-focused brands operating across diverse end markets.
