LME aluminium price inches down to US$2578/t; SHFE price slips by US$9/t to US$3103/t
Three-month LME aluminium dipped 0.04 per cent to end at US$ 2,585 per tonne on Wednesday, August 11.
LME aluminium cash (bid) price and LME official settlement price dipped slightly by US$ 1 per tonne to stand at US$ 2,578 per tonne on Wednesday, August 11, following a hike of US$ 32 per tonne in the previous day. 3-months bid price and 3-months offer price dropped by US$ 7.50 per tonne to come in at US$ 2,577.50 per tonne. Dec 22 bid price and Dec 22 offer price hovered around US$ 2,541.50 per tonne, down by US$ 9.50 per tonne from August 10.
LME aluminium opening stock grew from 1339100 tonnes to 1340225 tonnes. Live Warrants stood at 836850 tonnes, while Cancelled Warrants totalled 503375 tonnes.
LME aluminium 3-months Asian Reference Price settled at US$ 2,583.72 per tonne as of August 11.
SHFE Aluminium Price Trend
Benchmark aluminium price for SHFE decreased by US$ 9 per tonne to close at US$ 3,103 per tonne on Thursday, August 12.
The most-traded SHFE 2109 aluminium closed up 1.26 per cent to RMB 20110 per tonne, with open interest down 133 lots to 264000 lots.
The most active SHFE 2109 aluminium contract inched up 0.07 per cent to close at RMB 20,130 per tonne last night.
