LME aluminium price edged 0.41% lower at US$2633/t; SHFE price closed up at US$3136/t
Three-month LME aluminium shed 1.09 per cent to end at US$ 2,576 per tonne on Tuesday.
LME aluminium cash (bid) price and LME official settlement price decreased by US$ 10 per tonne or 0.41 per cent to come at US$ 2,633 per tonne on Tuesday, August 17. 3-months bid price and 3-months offer price decline from US$ 2,626 per tonne to US$ 2,618.50 per tonne. Dec 22 bid price and Dec 22 offer price hovered around US$ 2,580 per tonne, down by US$ 4 per tonne on August 16.
LME aluminium opening stock increased from 1312950 tonnes to 1322150 tonnes. Live Warrants stood at 847650 tonnes, while Cancelled Warrants totalled 474500 tonnes.
LME aluminium 3-months Asian Reference Price settled at US$ 2,632.44per tonne as of August 17.
SHFE Aluminium Price Trend
Benchmark aluminium price for SHFE rose by US$ 16 per tonne to close at US$ 3,136 per tonne on Wednesday, August 18.
The most-traded SHFE 2109 aluminium closed up 1.41 per cent to RMB 20515 per tonne.
The most-liquid SHFE 2109 aluminium contract decreased by RMB 80 per tonne to settle at RMB 20,270 per tonne in overnight trading, with open interest down 14,434 lots to 221,226 lots.
