
Three-month LME aluminium climbed 1.48 per cent to settle at US$ 2,404 per tonne on Monday, and is expected to move between US$ 2,390-2,410 per tonne today.

LME aluminium cash (bid) price and LME official settlement price gained US$ 14.50 per tonne to stand at US$ 2,388 per tonne on Monday, April 26, following a restraint on the previous day at US$ 2,373.50 per tonne. 3-months bid price and 3-months offer price grew to US$ 2,393.50 per tonne from US$ 2,378.50 per tonne. Dec 22 bid price and Dec 22 offer price came in at US$ 2,394.50 per tonne on Monday, increasing by US$ 15.50 per tonne from US$ 2,379 per tonne on Friday, April 23.
The LME aluminium opening stock declined from 1796925 tonnes to 1793100 tonnes. Live Warrants totalled 1219200 tonnes, while Cancelled Warrants stood at 573900 tonnes.
LME aluminium 3-months Asian Reference Price inched up from US$ 2,380.57 per tonne on April 23 to US$ 2383.65 per tonne on April 26, 2021.
SHFE Aluminium Price Trend
Benchmark aluminium price for SHFE continued to grow to stand at US$ 2,854 per tonne on Tuesday, April 27.
The most-active SHFE 2106 aluminium contract advanced 0.76 per cent to close at RMB 18,485 per tonne in overnight trading. Social inventories of aluminium ingots stood at 1.14 million tonnes in China as of April 26, down 1,000 tonnes from last Thursday, which supported aluminium prices. The June contract is likely to fluctuate between RMB 18,400-18,600 per tonne today.
