On Wednesday, local and state leaders, alongside industry officials, broke ground on Kloeckner Metals' new USD 90 million aluminium processing facility at Dynamic Drive near Aluminium Dynamics in Mississippi. Governor Tate Reeves attended the ceremony, speaking to a crowd of around 100 people. Excavators had already begun preparing the nearly 32-acre site for construction.

Kloeckner Metals is the first tenant on the 1,200-acre ADI customer campus, designed to accommodate ADI’s customers. CEO John Ganem expects the 222,500-square-foot facility to be finished by the end of 2026, with operations beginning in early 2027. The facility will process up to 150,000 metric tonnes of aluminium annually.
The plant will produce aluminium products, including slit coils and sheets and is expected to employ about 40 people locally, offering high-paying salaries. Ganem hinted at a potential multiphase expansion, including advanced laser-blanking technology and fabrication capabilities in future phases.
Construction of the facility follows a vision that began in 2022 when Steel Dynamics CEO Mark Millett announced the ADI campus. Kloeckner Metals worked closely with the ADI team to become the first tenant, reinforcing their commitment to providing value-added services.
Golden Triangle Development LINK COO Meryl Fisackerly highlighted that the project aligns with their vision to create a thriving industrial park. ADI aims to accommodate up to 10 companies, offering benefits such as free freight, preferential scheduling, and scrap collection. Discussions with additional tenants are ongoing, and the park is expected to fill within the next couple of years.
