Iran produces over 207,000 tons of alumina powder in 11 months

The Iranian smelters produced 207,089 tons of alumina powder in the last 11 months of the current Iranian year (March 20, 2012 - February 19, 2013)
Iran also produced over 308,000 tons of aluminum ingots in the same period.
The volume of aluminum ingot production at the country's three smelters -- Iranian Aluminum Company, the Al-Mahdi Aluminum Corporation (AAC), and Hormozal hit 308,473 tons during the 11-month period.
Head of the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization Khodamorad Ahmadi announced late 2011 that Iran's aluminum production is expected to reach a total of 1.5 million tons by 2025.
Iran has received funds for producing 800,000 tons of aluminum products, he said at the time.
