Beyond the top five export destinations, Southeast Asian markets such as Malaysia and Vietnam have emerged as significant buyers, highlighting India’s strong export momentum and growing presence in these key consumer markets. The annual export growth rate to Vietnam has increased by 44 per cent, and to Malaysia by 12 per cent from 2021 to 2025.

Global demand is shifting towards higher-value manufactured goods. Global aluminium consumption is expected to maintain a steady upward trajectory, increasing from 101.6 million tonnes in 2024 to 104.01 million tonnes in 2025, before reaching an estimated 106.4-106.8 million tonnes in 2026.

In this scenario, India’s aluminium sector is well positioned to reinforce its reputation as a dependable global supplier, while contributing to export growth and broader industrial development.
