Hindalco Industries: aluminium products price registers a hike of INR 3,000 per tonne

Hindalco Industries Limited has hiked its aluminium products price after cutting the price of the same products yesterday. With effect from Wednesday, 11 August 2021, aluminium billets and wire rods prices have come in at INR 230,100 per tonne and INR 234,100 per tonne, a growth of INR 3,000 per tonne from INR 227,100 per tonne and INR 231,100 per tonne on August 10.

Aluminium ingots price has come in at INR 223,000 per tonne on Wednesday, 11 August 2021, marking an increase of INR 3,000 per tonne or 1.36% from INR 220,000 per tonne on August 10.

The Indian aluminium producers generally link prices of its products to the three-month futures of aluminium on London Metal Exchange. The aluminium price stood at US$ 2547 per tonne on August 9 from US$ 2618.5 per tonne on August 6.

Aluminium operations of the company, excluding those of its US arm Novelis Inc, generally account for nearly half of its total sales and 70% of its operating profit.
