Hindalco hikes aluminium products price by INR 2,250/t

Hindalco Industries Limited has hikes the aluminium products price for the third time in a row. With effect from Friday, 09 October 2020, the company’s wire rods price has risen to stand at INR 162,100 per tonne, an increase of INR 2,250 per tonne from INR 159,850 per tonne on October 7.

Aluminium billets price stands at INR 158,100 per tonne as of Friday, 09 October 2020. That is up INR 2,250 per tonne from INR 155,850 per tonne on October 7.

Hindalco aluminium ingots price has increased by INR 2,250 per tonne to INR 151,000 per tonne.

The Indian aluminium producers generally link prices of its products to the three-month futures of aluminium on London Metal Exchange. The aluminium price on LME has increased by more than 2% so far in 2020.

Aluminium operations of the company, excluding those of its US arm Novelis Inc, generally account for nearly half of its total sales and 70% of its operating profit.
