Malick’s appointment came after the resignation of Director General, Aissata Beavogui at the beginning of April 2021. Aissata, a former Deloitte, Grant Thornton, and AIS International, is the first woman to occupy this level of function in the field of mines in Guinea. Above all, she was the one that led the project from its maturation phase until the export in August 2019 of the first tonnes of metallurgical bauxites from GAC, gradually bringing this quantity to 9.5 million tonnes in 2020.
