Five Men Arrested, Police Retrieve Alluminium Maganizes Worth RM33,000

Police have arrested five men including two teenagers yesterday and retrieved 275 pieces of aluminium magazines worth RM33,000 that were reported to be stolen from a factory in Jalan Batu Maung here, on Wednesday.
Barat Daya district deputy police chief, DSP Lai Fah Him said the men, aged between 16 and 43 years, were arrested around Batu Maung.
"The factory management had lodged a police report on the stolen aluminium magazines used to assemble car audio systems on Wednesday and the police have arrested a teenager to help investigation into the case," he told a press conference here, today.
He said that preliminary investigation showed that the school dropout and his three other friends, who are still at large, had climbed the wall of a storeroom and cut the fence behind the factory.
"They transported the boxes using a motorcycle and sold the magazines to an illegal scrap metal dealer in Batu Maung," he said.
Lai said based on the information obtained, police later arrested four men including the premises owner and retrieved the aluminium magazines.
He said that all of them were remanded for four days to help investigation into the theft and possession of stolen items, and added that the police were also looking for the other three men in their 20s to solve the case.
