
First National Bank & Trust Fund Committee has made an agreement with Stacey Lantagne from Crafters on Central for collecting aluminium can tabs to support Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC).

Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) has been associated with the collection of aluminium tabs and recycling them to raise funds. Stacey Lantagne has previously received support from Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) when her own family member was severely ill, by providing accommodation and free meals. This support from RMHC made her start the initiative to help and raise funds for RMHC by collecting and recycling aluminium cans.
The aluminium tabs collected from various locations would be recycled and used to raise funds. The locations include Iron Mountain downtown main office of First National Bank & Trust Fund Committee, and the south branch near Home Depot, the Kingsford Branch on Carpenter Avenue, and the Menominee, Iron River and Marquette offices. These branches of the bank would be made available as drop-off points for the public to donate the aluminium tabs during the regular banking hours.
Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) has raised more than USD 4 million in the last 50 years by collecting and recycling aluminium tabs. The money raised from the initiative would be used to provide free accommodation, meals and other emotional support to the families of children who are seriously ill and receiving medical care.
