According to China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), about 298,000 units of new energy vehicles (NEVs) were sold in China in the first three months of 2019, up 109.7 per cent from the same period last year. Out of 298,000 units, pure electric cars accounted for 227,000 units, up 121.4 per cent year on year. Sales of plug-in hybrid rose 79.1 per cent to 72,000 units, showed the data of CAAM.
