Aluminium glazing specialist opens new retail outlet for building materials

Dortech, a leading manufacturer, designer, installer of aluminium windows, curtain walling, entrance doors and roof lights in Huddersfield, has announced the opening of new retail outlet for the supply of building materials.

With an investment of £45,000 in a new trade counter, the company expects to achieve revenue of about £2m in the next twelve months. If revenue targets are met, Dortech will open 2-3 further depots in the next three years.
Dortech managing director James Sutherland said: “We have worked hard over the past year to better configure our architectural and maintenance divisions, and we’ve ploughed over £150k into new machinery, lighting and racking to take our capabilities to the next level.
“This is an exciting step that will take us from an online-only building supplies retailer to one with bricks and mortar space for the trade and general public. It’s a bold claim but I’d love to think we can become the ScrewFix of the glazing industry.”
