Ducon completes eight installations in the alumina handling systems
Ducon’s project for NALCO involved transporting Alumina through belt conveyors (1100 tons per hour capacity and over 3 km long). Ducon’s project for Hindalco required central silo extraction of alumina and loading into rail wagons at 2000 tons per hour. The Ducon system is fully automatic and is designed to load the entire rake of 58 wagons in less than 4 hours.
Ducon also completed a turnkey project for Utkal Alumina requiring transferring alumina into silos from calciner and then extracting and loading it into four rail wagons on two tracks simultaneously at a rate of 3000 tons per hour. Ducon has also recently supplied pipe conveyor technology of 1200 tons per hour capacity for feeding pot line.
“Ducon is actively involved in the alumina, coal and ash handling systems market globally” said Mr. Aron Govil, Chairman & CEO of Ducon Group of Companies, “and we are extremely delighted with our continued success in the Alumina industry in the Asian market.” continued Mr. Govil.
