The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Department of Justice (DOJ) announced a settlement with the Russellville-based aluminium rolling mill regarding alleged violations of the federal Lead Renovation, Repair, and Painting regulations (RRP) at the renovation projects carried out by Logan Square Aluminum and its contractors in Chicago and the Chicago suburbs. The Innovative Manufacturing Cooperative Research Centre (IMCRC) in Melbourne, AML3D Limited in Edinburgh, and the Institute for Frontier Materials (IFM) at Deakin University in Victoria joined forces to develop a brand-new high-strength aluminium wire feedstock. LG Energy Solution and Jiangsu Dingsheng New Energy Materials Co., Ltd., a producer of aluminium plates, strips, foils, and other products, inked a supply and purchase agreement. According to the terms of the contract, Jiangsu Dingsheng will provide LG Energy Solution with about 61,000 tonnes of aluminium foil for lithium batteries. The estimated duration of the agreement is 2023–2026.

Patriot Aluminum, a US-based company known for producing a whole array of rigid aluminium and stainless steel conduit, elbows, couplings, etc., was relocated to Caroline County, Maryland. This was made possible due to the resourceful alliance between Caroline County Economic Development and Donovan Marine, represented by John Foster of SVN Miller Commercial Real Estate.
Jiangsu Dingsheng New Energy Materials Co., Ltd, a manufacturer of aluminium plates, strips, foils and other items, signed a supply and purchase agreement with LG Energy Solution. Under this agreement, Jiangsu Dingsheng will supply around 61,000 tonnes of aluminium foil for lithium batteries to LG Energy Solution. The contract is expected to last from 2023 to 2026.
