Jiangsu Dingsheng to supply 61,000 tonnes of aluminium foil to LG Energy Solution
Jiangsu Dingsheng New Energy Materials Co., Ltd, a manufacturer of aluminium plates, strips, foils and other items, has signed a supply and purchase agreement with LG Energy Solution. Under this agreement, Jiangsu Dingsheng will supply around 61,000 tonnes of aluminium foil for lithium batteries to LG Energy Solution. The contract is expected to last from 2023 to 2026.
According to the corporation, LG's demand and production conditions will determine the purchase quantity. Per the statement, the arrangement would significantly affect Dingsheng's performance in 2023. LG Energy is already one of the company's customers.
The Chinese aluminium manufacturer also collaborated with Contemporary Amperex Technology, CATL, BYD, and Gotion High-Tech. LG Energy Solution is a battery company headquartered in Seoul, South Korea and is one of the largest battery makers alongside CATL, Panasonic, SK Innovation, and Samsung SDI.
