Patriot Aluminum, a US-based company known for producing a whole array of rigid aluminium and stainless steel conduit, elbows, couplings, etc., was relocated to Caroline County, Maryland. This was made possible due to the resourceful alliance between Caroline County Economic Development and Donovan Marine, represented by John Foster of SVN Miller Commercial Real Estate.
This is a welcome addition to the Caroline County business community. A comprehensive variety of aluminium fence panels, posts, and gates are manufactured by the family-run firm, owned and controlled by American veterans. 2018 saw the purchase by Donovan Marine of the Bartley Building, a business building on Engerman Avenue in the Denton Industrial Park. Because the structure was more than required, there was a bonus chance to increase value by renting out the second suite.
"It was a combination of a collaborative partnership, a strong and credit-worthy client and great market conditions that created this fast-moving deal. It was a great experience for all parties involved," added John Foster.
Debbie Bowden, the director of CCEDT, and Kendall Teague, the business development coordinator, were aware that this regional occasion would be a perfect venue for marketing a premier industrial site in Caroline County. From her experience with the symposium, Debbie knew firsthand that the Engerman Avenue property would be the ideal location for Patriot Aluminum to expand its operations from Felton, Delaware.
Caroline County Economic Development & Tourism approached Donovan Marine about using the property as the site for their Caroline Economic Symposium, a high-level examination of the nation's economic situation, region, and the Eastern Shore. They were aware that the property was available for lease.
Patriot Aluminum prides itself on the calibre of its goods, the responsiveness of its staff, and the general amiability of its business environment. They presently have 12 employees, but as the company expands, they hope to give more than 30 full-time positions to the Caroline County community.
“Donovan Marine recognized the value in showing their space to the business leaders in Caroline County via the Economic Symposium. It was truly a partnership that turned out to be mutually beneficial. We hosted the Economic Symposium in a great space, Donovan Marine got some exposure that led to an active lease, and Caroline County welcomes a growing new business to the community,” added Debbie Bowden.
