Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI) announced the joining of Sigma Machine as its new Industrial User member. With a focus on aluminium machining and stainless steel, Sigma Machine runs a spotless, well-lit, effective, and environmentally friendly facility that satisfies Tier 1 regulations and goes above and beyond for its customers.
Founded in 1955, Sigma is dedicated to providing top-notch design, prototyping, and manufacturing services, led by their positive outlook and solid midwestern work ethic. With more than 100 staff working in three shifts and five days a week, the company provides its clients with tools to have their prototypes created, prototyped, and built from one source, with one purchase order, to give them a one-stop shopping experience.
‘Sigma Machine supports using aluminum products as 100% recyclable material. We support our customers and suppliers drive toward sustainable energy usage and a clean environment for our families to live,’said Andrew Tomczyk, Vice President-Engineering/Quality.
Taking projects from conception to completion is a speciality of their highly qualified workforce. They are motivated to think creatively and produce top-notch quality and warm, welcoming customer service using multi-spindle and multi-axis equipment because of their can-do attitude and Midwestern work ethic.
The ASI Certification programme, the first complete voluntary sustainability standard project for the aluminium value chain, was established through an extensive multi-stakeholder engagement process. In May 2022, the ASI Performance Standard V3 (2022) was released after a lengthy modification process.
