
The average alumina spot price in China has declined by RMB 14 per tonne to stand at RMB 2,306 per tonne on Tuesday, October 20, following a restraint at RMB 2,320 per tonne from October 14 to 19, according to the Shanghai Metals Market. In Shandong, the price has decreased by RMB 35 per tonne to RMB 2,285 per tonne, while that in Henan and Shanxi has contracted by RMB 20 per tonne and RMB 10 per tonne to come in at RMB 2,300 per tonne.
In Guizhou and Guangxi, the average alumina spot price has continued to be at RMB 2,345 per tonne.

The imported alumina price has dipped as well by RMB 10 per tonne to stand at RMB 2,330 per tonne. However, the price of Australian Alumina FOB has remained muted at US$ 277 per tonne.
Backed on the decline in alumina spot price, the price of A00 aluminium ingot has recorded a downfall of RMB 100 per tonne to RMB 14,960 per tonne, as of October 20, learned SMM. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 14,940 per tonne and RMB 14,980 per tonne, with spot contract to be traded at a premium price of RMB 170-210 per tonne, down by RMB 10 per tonne from the previous day.

Wuxi and Shenyang have seen the highest fall in primary aluminium ingot price today of RMB 120 per tonne to RMB 14,940 per tonne and RMB 14,915 per tonne, respectively, followed by the fall of RMB 115 per tonne in Chongqing to RMB 14,930 per tonne. In Hangzhou and Linyi, the price has decreased by RMB 110 per tonne to RMB 14,945 per tonne and RMB 14,930 per tonne, while that in Tianjin and Gongyi has declined by RMB 100 per tonne to RMB 14,840 per tonne and RMB 14,940 per tonne, respectively. A00 aluminium ingot price in Foshan is standing at RMB 14,890 per tonne, falling by RMB 70 per tonne from the previous day.
Aluminium alloy (A356) price has shrunk by RMB 100 per tonne to RMB 15,550 per tonne, but the prices of Aluminium alloys ((ADC12) and Aluminium alloy (A380) have remained restrained at RMB 15,300 per tonne and RMB 16,200 per tonne, as of October 20, found SMM.
