CVG-Alcasa official postpone planned trip to China to discuss JV

The Ministry of Basic Industry and Mining "hasn't given the authorization yet," an Alcasa spokeswoman said. Alcasa representatives were to meet with officials with Chalieco, a subsidiary of the Aluminum Corporation of China, which was chosen by the Venezuelan government to modernize Alcasa potlines 3 & 4 and to build an extrusion facility, among other projects, at the Puerto Ordaz-based facility.
